      A weblog is just a record­ing of writ­ing. It doesn’t require com­ments.
      It really depends on whether you want inter­ac­tion between “them” the reader, and yourself. 

      How­ever, hav­ing com­ments leads to all sorts of poten­tial prob­lems, includ­ing spam.
