All taxation, whether from income or goods and services is theft. Theft of personal earned money. Unfortunately the absolute minimum of such theft is necessary for national infrastructure and defense and a minimum level welfare system ( for the truly sick or unable) to avoid abject poverty, homelessness and to provide basic healthcare. Taxation must never provide a remotely comparable lifestyle to employment since, inequitably, it destroys the incentive to work and struggle which for millennia has been the natural human condition.
