Health is mostly consider a public service, but some countries and people find more interesting Private Health Insurances.

    Yeah that’s why the US is the only industrialized country in the world without a public healthcare system that does not provide a universal service. Something like that would be inconceivable in Spain, France, the United Kingdom, etc…
    Private health services are great and can be more advanced (depending on which country you live in), but they are definitely NOT cheaper, and not everyone can afford them, so they’re not a general solution.

    The freedom to purchase your own private health care is an absolute right. Moreover it releases cost pressure on public healthcare. Tax relief should be given on the premiums paid to encourage greater take up of private arrangements.

    That said a national system of healthcare running alongside is an essential for the well being of a nation.

    Statistically and historically it has been proven to be better, cheaper and more advanced in the private sector.
